- Graduated Cum Laude from medical school at the University of Medical Sciences of Villa Clara, Cuba in 2004
- Specialist in Family Medicine graduated from the University of Medical Sciences of Villa Clara, Cuba in 2007
- Specialist in Endocrinology graduated from the University of Medical Sciences of Sancti Spiritus, Cuba in 2010
- Serves on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Global Hormonal Health
- Since 2004, has worked as a medical doctor in Cuba and abroad, assigned to international health missions in Haiti as a family medicine doctor (March 2006 through March 2007) and in Botswana as a consultant Endocrinology specialist (October 2013 through February 2014)
- Is currently pursuing medical licensure in the United States. Has passed the USMLE Step 1, Step 2 USMLE CK and CS, and is on track to enter into a residency program in family medicine.

My passion is to use my medical background and my clinical expertise, in the areas of endocrinology and functional medicine, to serve the San Antonio community. I believe that there is great value in changing from the current disease-based healthcare system to a health-promoting and wellness-oriented system that includes personalized and integrative treatment plans based on the patient’s needs, values and desires.
